Odd mix
I can't figure out what the value is in only hearing these 2 sing, when one can purchase a DVD of the movies and not only hear them sing but WATCH THEM DANCE and interact. Especially if the soundtrack is not a recording studio version, but right from the films. Kind of like listening to a movie in the next room, you get the chatter, but miss the full effect of the thing.
I'm also bugged that the photo on the CD cover is not of Ginger Rogers at all, but of an actress who starred with Mr. Astaire in "Holiday Inn". What's up with that error?

Harvest of Yesterdays
I bought this book because I've read most of Ms. Taber's books and was curious about her life before Stillmeadow. I was not disappointed. Using the same warm, chatty, informative, and sometimes wistful style she is known for, the author interweaves glimpses, truths, and stories that were part of her young life. She also gives wonderful snapshots of early 1900 styles, of her family's values, and of her personal discoveries. Sometimes poignant, other times humerous,and always interesting, she makes the reader feel included and eager to share each adventure & discovery right along with her. She avoids the long diatribe often a part of "family history" books. Using a chronological style, she sets the scene, makes her point, and then moves on to the next situation. I liked this book very much, I recommend it, and will share it with my family and friends.

Gorgeous Yarn, worth its cost
This yarn is amazing. Its strands have both thin fibers, thick fibers, and chunky fibers all along their length. That kind of rules it out for beginners just learning new stitches. And the chunky-ness won't allow for lace/intricate stitches, but I'm still able to use an "E" hook with this yarn without too much hassle.
For experienced crocheters, it's simply dreamy. it's various colors make the finished product come alive. Lion Brand did a great job creating this particular color blend, and will definitely shop this brand for its other color blends
It is very soft, it can be worn against the skin without irritation.
Lastly, the price is really nice, a very nice value.
Highly recommend!
