It may work for centerfire revolver but for rimfire it is will be as good or bad as the stock firing pin because the length is the same and the protruding part will be the same. Only the point of impact is reduced because the tip is pointed. I replaced the stock pin with this one and still had light primer strikes.
Only the S&W extended firing pin from MidwayUSA and the correct tension screw provided the solution I was looking for. I should have saved 15 bucks and bought the extended pin in the first place.
Just some thoughts for those with rimfire revolvers looking to resolve light primer strikes which are common with such revolvers.

Tenor Sax #2Β½ Peter Ponzol ProReed - Durable synthetic - NEW Item
30 March 2017
Waste of money, will never buy synthetic again without trying out first.
The reed hardness states 2.5 and this is what I usually play on tenor. But it really feels like 1.5. Way too light and buzzy without the core tone present at all, very tinny sound on any mouthpiece. Plus it does not keep good intonation either due to being too soft or who knows what else.
My favorite synthetic at present is Legere Signature 2.5 that I use for practice and gigs and I will probably stick to that one for good.
NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
