Top Of The Line Garmin

I had the 60CS and sold it to get the 60CSx. The adddition of the micro SD card and the improved satelite signal aquisition and processing sounded like things I needed to have. I have not been dissappointed. Being able to store all the maps I need in one "save" is a great benefit( I have replaced the card that came with the unit (64M I think) with a 512M and it has given me enough room for all the maps within 200 miles of my home and all the places outside this area that I routinely travel to while only using 25% of the card. I can get all the satellites available most times if I am outside and can always get at least 4 inside my house. The color display has excellent readability outdoors in glaring sun on a snowy day and the backlight is great in the dark. I have installed some 1600 mAh rechargeable Ni-MH batteries and I can leave the thing on for a 8 hour day of hiking without changing batteries. I love this thing. I would recommend a protective case (just to keep it extra safe)with some type of clip device so you can clip it to your pack strap or jacket zipper area.
