great value for the price.
Nicely polished little fossilized specimen. A nice addition to a curiosity cabinet, or as an ornament on a project of some type.

Inexpensive replacement part.
1 of 1 found this helpful I had a soldering station that uses this hand piece, and the element finally failed. I considered repairing it, but a complete new hand piece was cheap enough that a repair was not worth the effort. I still did not give it the highest rating because the threads are poor quality and wear over time. Also the thermister occasionally fails, and the tip can overheat when that occurs,

One of the few places that still carries Thoriated rods.
There is nothing really unusual about these rods, other than the fact that they are thorium doped. If that is what you need, than these are the ones.
