Even better than their debut album
I think on this album you can hear their style is changing a bit compared to their debut album 'A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation'.
I feel there are a lot more synth influences in their music than before, in a good way.
Personally I love that (being a Jean-Michel Jarre fan too).
Secondly I think the way the songs are composed is actually very clever.
To give an example, the second verse in Be your shadow isn't simply a slight variation of the first, but comes with a 'surprise' pre-chorus.
They hardly ever repeat themselves. That goes for the lyrics too.
Not that there's much of a problem remembering them... At least I find myself belting out the lyrics in my car every now and then.
I can also recommend the online bonus tracks that come with this album, a couple of live versions and remixes of some of the tracks. It just goes to show they're rather good live too. And that's what I love about quite simply highly talented musicians.
