Purchased bios chip for HP laptop after a failed update from HP website. Seller was very knowledgeable and responsive as I did run into issues. After installing the first time I must have had a corrupt copy stored somewhere as it over wrote the new bios chip. Contacted seller and explained what happened. Seller gave me many options to try but I still had a black screen. Part was covered under warranty and another was sent. Removed CMOS battery and hard drive this time and PC is now running again

On this specific computer, rather easy to install: follow the service manual to access the chip, then remove the locked chip (I used a small torch), clean the pads, then solder the new, unlocked chip.Will bookmark the seller should I need another chip.
