Classic films at a very good price.
This collection is well worth having because Bette Davis was an incredibly good actress. Beyond that, the picture and sound reproduction in all of the dvds is top quality.

A solid piece of Hollywood entertainment, even after 25 years! Recommended!
Really good story, good acting, and amazing special effects. I think this movie made more Americans look seriously at what firemen and fire departments actually do from day to day, often for the very first time. De Niro always really becomes whoever and whatever he is playing. Kurt Russell is always a strong physical and character presence, and Donald Sutherland is really great in his cameo role as the imprisoned pyromaniac. This movie was made some years ago now, butt still holds up very well. Exciting, entertaining and really educational at the same time. The sex scene (two on a fire truck) was funny, sexually titillating, but very well integrated in the total story without being unnecessarily graphic or heavy-handed. Made in 1998, this movie still gets high marks from me today. Another solid film from Ron Howard. (One of a number!)
