Amazing story of endurance
Just visited the Champagne country in France this summer. It's so interesting to know the story of this amazing woman who became so successful in spite of adversity of all kinds which she faced including being a young widow and mother and a businesswoman in the 18th and 19th centuries when wars were constant and women were not supposed to be in business.

Great Movie
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great movie...in French, of course. However, subtitles are available for those who don't speak French. The actress who plays Edith Piaf won the Academy Award for best actress this year for her performance. Well deserved. There was no literature to read background on the movie, but there is extra footage at the end about the filming of "La Vie En Rose."
