It's Ok
I ordered two of these for projects I was working on. The LCD itself is good but the I2C adapter is mounted at an angle. This is required to give necessary clearance for the screen mounting tabs commming through the PCB. On one of the units the I2C adapter didn't have enough clearance and the aforementioned screen mounting tabs was shorting two pins on the adapter board. Also these it would be nice if the I2C address was provided. Apparently there are only a few addresses for these things but I had to try a few times before I could talk to it. Other than that, once you ensure no pins shorted and you can communicate with it, it's fine.

Cool stuff
I recently started electronics as a hobby for me and my youngest son. I didn't realise how prevalent SMD was even for makers and hobbyists. I was a bit intimidated by the thought of soldering these things but with this Chip Quick paste it's not bad at all. Even with a crude soldering iron I was able to mount a tiny SOT 23 5 pin chip with little difficulty.

Nice Unit!
Just getting into electronics and have little experience with hot air stations. This unit works great for both soldering with the iron and the hot air as far as I can tell. My first experience using the hot air wasn't trouble free but was my fault, having air up too high for the component and and up blowing it out of place. Decreased airflow and all was good. The iron is great, it heats up fast and based on tcouple is fairly accurate in temps. For the price you can't beat it.
