1 of 1 found this helpful Charles Dickens is a canonical author and the BBC has produced film versions of 6 of his greatest works, engagingly cast with stellar British actors portraying his immortal characters.

Terrific series with a compelling story arc.
Great series - unfortunately all too true. The producers and writers knew what they were doing from the start and sustained the momentum throughout all 5 Seasons.

Entertaining look at a British Vaudeville Troupe just prior to the First World War.
Well-cast with a reasonably engaging plot that tends to become somewhat formulaic at times. A different look at a young Colin Firth and the always competent group of British supporting actors plus a fine first-season cameo by Sir Laurence Olivier.
