oldster (me) has one problem
It took me awhile to realize that you HAD to use the remote to use this product. Sound quality and picture very good. Haven't tried the 5-hour battery yet. My only complaint is that you can't get the sound very loud.

Lord of the Rings special extended DVD edition. 4 discs
FINALLY! A set of Lord of the Rings where all of the discs play! ( I have had problems in the past with new discs that don't play). The three movies in this set appear on at least one list of best movies of all time. Even those of you who don't like fantasy will find these movies very close to "real." I highly recommend Lord of the Rings to all viewers. It is worth the 9 hours of viewing. The added appendices are both entertaining and descriptive of how the movies were made.
