So far so good at a really good price! Ink levels do show accurately.
No issues at all - worked fine when installed and print quality is just as good as genuine Epson inks for general use. Naturally the printer warns you of being non-Epson ink, but you can work around that with a press of the screen (in my model) and click an accept icon on the computer interface. This is what I like about Epson printers - the ability to use good quality aftermarket ink and have the ink levels show correctly.

Not really up to par with overall poor performance
These aftermarket Sony clone optical pickups seem to be a luck of the draw, and the luck just isn't in your favor as often as it should be. Thankfully I already knew to remove the anti-static blob of solder (there is never a note included to let you know this is required) but performance is just sub-par with poor tracking.
Is it defective? No, it reads perfect discs. Is it usable? No, the slightest flaw causes problems with tracking. Can it be adjusted or aligned? Well, the only adjustment is laser gain and turning that would technically void a return claim due to tampering. So I just ate it. The player itself is fine, the original genuine Sony optics failed (quite common) so I guess it's time to buy another of higher quality if I can find one. Wish me luck!
