I just want to play golf
0 of 1 found this helpful The three click control is almost useless. Game goes through too much prelim video no one cares about, especially every single time you start the game. Not enough control options for customizing...like slowing down the outrageous 3 click swing control. And get the caddy out of my face.
I just wish there was a decent golf game for XBox360 like the old super Nintendo cartridges. Less flashy content and more detail on the golf part if the game. I have played real golf and older golf games on consoles...and I dont like this game at all. The controls are too stupid and there is too much time/data spent on unnecessary fluff like spectators getting hit.

Adequate
These parts fit fine and do the job but dont be fooled about them being "stainless steel". There are types of stainless steel that are not as "stainless" or corrosion resistant as others. One way to tell immediately if you have a stainless steel that has a lot of iron in it (the stuff that rusts) is to see it a magnet will stick to it. If it does, its not a very corrosion resistant stainless. There ARE metals "called" stainless that are magnetic, such as "silverware", pots and pans and nuts and bolts.
These replacement parts begin to rust like steel very quickly after being heated and used. I store my grill inside of an air conditioned garage and the ones I bought still rusted. They are still functional, but dont let the "stainless" in the description fool you. The parts these replaced were not stainless, they were steel, so I keep that in mind. But the original parts were a heavier gauge and had hemmed edges with no sharp edges. Stainless is really not necessary for these parts but it does slow down the rusting, kind of like a baked-on coating will on steel.
I'm happy to have bought these replacements for a reasonable price. I can make these myself but the price of these makes it much easier to just buy them. A 3 star rating means they are "OK", not that they are bad. These are a low grade stainless, very thin gauge (which means they will eventually fail faster) and the edges were very sharp. Otherwise they fit and perform the function they are supposed to.
I would buy them again...and may have to.

A good version of the game
I bought 2012 The Masters and hated it. I have played golf games since the first Nintendo and these days developers put more flash and stuff in for the non-serious player.
I had played Tiger 08 on the Wii and enjoyed it...but no the Wii. I'm glad I bought this game before getting rid of Tiger 2012 because after playing this for a while, 2012 will be easier to deal with.
The 3 click swing is a little slower and easier to deal with on 08 vs. 2012 but I still have to put the setting on "easy" otherwise timing the shot is near impossible. I dont know if I'll ever be able to deal with any other setting because its just too fast and they give you no way to adjust it otherwise. So the only ways to make the rest of the game harder is to increase the course conditions, etc. which works because you can make the conditions pretty brutal.
2012, even on easy was too fast on the 3 click swing and 3 click is the most accurate way. The analog stick is for children. I'm hoping that after hundreds hours playing 08, 2012 will be more usable for me.
I quit gaming for 15 years in order to get productive in my life. Games can eat your time and make you fall back on life. I just bought an old XBox360 and this game was only like $5, so its a cheap way to get back in to it and I dont have experience on more modern systems and games, so it looks great to me.
