Great dramatization of Holmes Canon!
Excellent set of Sherlock Holmes dvds. Jeremy Brett’s performance of Holmes is outstanding. Staging, costumes, and scenery very much true to period. The dramas follow the Holmes stories very well. Only drawback to this boxed set is as others have noted, the cases holding the dvds are sadly inadequate. Because of poor design they can slip and slide around causing unwanted surface scratches. Extra care in handling is a must.

Look for the spiral bound isssue.
Great book on chess and tactics for the beginner and intermediate player. The best feature of this book is the spiral binding which will lay flat in front of the reader making it easy to read and layout tactics on a board in front you making for outstanding help in teachings. The updated version of this same book does not have this capability so finding one in the used market in good condition is a great find.

Brash, funny, poignant, ultimately human.
For me growing up in this time period, when tv was in its infancy and movies and movie stars were larger than life, brought back memories of childhood idols from both the big and the small screen. Brash, funny, poignant, and ultimately human. An entertaining look at that heroic spark that is in all of us, looking for release.
