27 of 28 found this helpful Excellent camera after owning many. Published pictures in my local post the first week of ownership. Very small in the hand but perfect. All the gizmos you'll need and not full of un-useful one's making it easier to work with when you are in a hurry. Live view very important these days. Still very cheap if you purchase the kit. The camera can be used professionally but you'll have to pay for professional lenses ,the standard lens aren't brilliant but you'll be surprised what you can get away with ,just photographed Red Arrow's and surprised myself with the accuracy in focusing and metering. Excellent!

4 of 4 found this helpful When the phone was new I was impressed, a few people at work have one and problems are arising not just design problems. I've only had mine 3 months and it's playing up already sometimes the menu function sticks now I'm not even receiving calls only messages telling me my phones knackered. My friends screen completely froze had it replaced. Over sensitive touch buttons ,bad reception and lousy battery MP3 player good but needed charging daily.

A gem of classic engineering every pro should own or have a go!

I was looking for a small light quiet wide angle rangefinder with great lens.Low light shooting amazing better than Leica M6 and Leica X1, viewfinder better too in fact not a true rangefinder but doesn't have a prism. This is the only camera on the market that can shoot at low light with out noise.Images clearer than my Nikon D300.I've set up my X100 like my D300 and can see everything on the screen I need without going through the menu often which is not a chore as reviewed elsewhere. Bought at the amazing price of £650 yesterday so opted for 3 years warranty because there have been lens problems,shutter sticking and firmware problems, but God willing I have a well engineered camera time will tell. Buy the fastest Sandisk pro card 95mb I have you can also get a longer lasting NP-95 battery at 2600mah rather than 1800mah in the box. My only quip was dust appearing on the sensor in time mine is perfect, under my warranty I will get it cleaned free when it occurs so know problem there this occurs in Canon G cameras and Leica's too so Fuji are not alone.Images are absolutely fresh and remind me of Cartier Bresson a giant in photography with that giving me new creativity and avenues to pursue, can't wait to start selling my pics with this gem a classic and the price will stay good too if it's not the camera for you.I'm not downloading the new firmware as yet I'm happy with the X100 as it is.This is why I'm a photographer, may be complicated to a novice.
