Half-Life - Playstation 2 Game Complete
14 January 2019
IMMORTAL FREEMAN
20 Years later... Half-Life was a great game, and still is a great game. It satisfies every science-fiction, and fast-paced action urges all in one, while also still keeping your interest with the mystery of it's world. Between the portals, the Xen world, the ominous G-man, and the funny scientist you can save or watch them turn into grind-meat, Half-Life just can't get old unless it's the only game you play which is unlikely these days. The graphics are late 90's what else is there to say. I personally love the simple polys and turn off the HD models once in a while just to remember the original look and to go back in time. I loved Quake and Doom as well since I was 10, and started Half-Life later on in High school actually in 2014 when I was 16 or so. My cousin gave me the PS2 version, and I wasn't attracted to it immediately because I felt it would never live up to Quake 1 at least. Boy was I wrong! The love and praise for this series was obviously well deserved and I'm glad I realized it eventually. Half-Life is even better than Quake and Doom, I know it was made a bit after each one so it has technological advantages. BUT! I love how the game feels alive, the ai isn't F.E.A.R level, or super smart but they are fun to mess around with nonetheless. I replayed this game more times than I ever did with the Quake and Doom series. What Half-Life has that these games do not, are actually interesting characters, plots, and concepts. Gman is an easy character to immediately be curious about, Gordon Freeman is a badass through and through even though he may seem like your typical silent protaganist, he's you sort of. The scientist are not unique but are sometimes funny and sympathetic figures strangely. I always try to save as many scientist and guards as I can, usually I can save 100% of all the characters which is what makes the game feel great. There will be scripted events but you can definetly break the scripted events and it just adds to the fun. Most shoooters don't have this extra side sweet. The gunplay is MAD ADDICTING! The weapons are all unique and all have a distinct purpose. The impact of them against the Xen and soldiers feel 100% fluid. The blood and gore is like Quake 1, not too extreme though I'm sure there are good mods to make it even bloodier. If you turn off the HD Models, your M16 will change to the original SMG MP5, the Glock will turn into the Beretta, the shotgun is the same except more blocky. Now this may seem like a weird aspect to cover but for me I like when I have the option to play like the original first version. I'm an originalist to the T. I play with the HD Models sometimes, but I have to play with the low poly ugly original stuff too. I'm not so picky like other people when it comes to HD, beautiful, blah blah. I appreciate games in their rawest, imperfect form! Half-Life is a must play, and if you haven't touched this masterpiece, you are missing out big time!

Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines (PC, 2004) + Free Shipping Fast

FORGET NEXT GEN GAMING, THIS IS WHERE IT'S AT: OLD SCHOOL
It's 2019, and still no Vampire game lives up to this... Back when I was in High School, I was never a real big fan of vampires much. It was my cousin who showed me some cool stuff at the time, like the manga Blood+, we use to play Vampire Night on PS2 in Middle School all the time. It was like Time Crisis, you know, back in the day when some games used Guncons ;) those were the days... Around 2010 was when my friends got me into the Elder Scrolls series and Fallout. Oblivion to this day holds a special place in my heart when it comes to RPG games, not only because I shared many experiences through it with my friends but because it is still a beautiful, unique game. However Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines for me is right next to Oblivion. I would not say behind, ahead, or tied but at the same level as it. I've played so many games from the gamecube, playstation 2, 3, 4, original XBox, 360, XOne and PC. I love all of them because I have chosen to go to a career in creating games so I appreciate all creations. Yet these two games are imprinted in my mind as if I never stopped playing them. Specifically in Bloodlines, the level design is not complex, yet it is extremely atmospheric. I've never been to Santa Monica, and the architecture of the game is not realistic. However the lighting, music, color and overall sense makes me feel as if I have been to such a place. The soundtrack itself is a whole other masterpiece, I listened to it so many times as a seperate being. The game was made in 2004, but has this real 90's way, where I feel like I am going back in a time machine everytime play it. Not in a bad way. The controls are easy, and the feel of your character's movement has weight and momentum to it that's just right. It doesn't feel stiff, or too much, it's just right. The combat is plain fun, plain stupid fun. No hard thinking to it, but it is not child's play either. With all of the different classes to choose from there are so many ways to fight, and go forward. The blood effects at to the impact of your attacks and make you feel like your actually foing some damage. Many games, especially most modern games for me are missing this important aspect for gameplay. I don't like feeling as though I'm hitting a rock, or bullet-sponge. Give me something lifelike and a bit over the top just to make it fun! THe stealth is for an old game, I'd say great. Though during 2004 I believe Splinter Cell was big around that time so stealth wasn;t as good but it;s not the main element of this game. The story, now personally I'd say the story and lore of the Masquerade Universe is ahead of it's time. FOr some it may be even better than Fallout or the Elder Scrolls. The characters are really interesting and all are unique and memorable. THere wasn't one character I disliked. The lore is very cool, and there are even some old 90's novels you can read if you get them on ebay or Amazon. The game goes so in depth about the underworld of the vampire society, and has some crazy monsters that would still give people the creeps. The story is trul classic and lives up to today;s standards. I must say first for anyone new to this series, this game would not have really made it without the work of Wesp5. When the game originally released in 2004, it was a broken mess from what I heard, and a few months after it;s release, Wesp took control of it and unofficially updated over the years. I think he still does a little work to this day on it. So if you buy this game, it is essential you use the unofficial patch for perfection and enjoy this masterpiece.
WW2 Soldier Taking Aim Statue 8.75"Tall Military Rifle Unit Infantry Figurine

Beautiful WWII Statue
Bought this statue for my grandpa for Christmas this year. It's beautiful, and well worth the money. It's not your average cheaply made statue, but has a solid make. The soldier is extremely detailed from the face, helmet, uniform and gun.
