Forget the reviews, I've used this lens now for over a week, it is light, solid feeling, and with a decent zoom capability, for what is a grossly underpriced lens, buy one you'll not regret it

Buy this over any other
2 of 2 found this helpful I’ve been shooting wildlife with canons 1 series for many years, starting with the mki 4.2 mp, they are truly great cameras, bought this as a walk around camera today! And was disappointed when it got dark, I’ve taken over300 shots today mainly street, matched to my sigma 24-70. And most at f2.8. Each image is pin sharp, even with the 1d I’d have binned 10%, can’t find one to bin with the 7d mkii, an excellent camera, if you can afford one buy one! Even for the beginner it has a auto mode, and remember AV is what pros call intelligent auto, easy to set up, easy to use highly recommend
