6 of 10 found this helpful This was an actual first edition and it’s hard to tell the difference. Some people believe that because of the words “First American Edition” are printed on the copyright page that it’s a first edition. However a little trick they don’t realize that it can be a “First American Edition” or the 44th reprint or the first edition of the 100th reprint. People have to check the random placed numbers at the bottom. If there is a “1” (not a 01) in the clutter of numbers ie 3 5 7 9 1 2 4 6 8 that means it is a true first edition!
I’m just glad I finally got my hands on a true first edition of this book. It’s in good condition. Thank you very much!
