Every socket size!
Every socket size. Only wish is the laser etching was better as many sockets are faint, making it harder to read size

Excellent value & Performance
3 of 4 found this helpful Great value for the money. Includes everything you need - headphones, usb cable, belt clip, arm band, even a battery & a few pre-loaded songs! It comes in a few different colors.
The controls are simple & intuitive. Screen is great - easy to read and provides all the details: song, artist, album, time, progress. Has shuffle & repeat modes. Sound can be modified with pre-programmed equilizer, as well as a custom control. Head phones sound good & feel comfortable.
If all that was not enough, it also has a FM radio with 20 presets - you can dial in a station or scan. Plus a microphone for recording.
The 1 GB model holds about 500 songs, but the coolest thing is an expansion slot that can hold up to 1GB memory card (for another 500 songs). I think this model comes in a 2 and 4 GB models if you thing you need more storage. It also works as a memory stick, so you can store & transfer files. Songs transfer very quickly (less than 5 seconds/song).
Set-up was easy. Just follow the quickstart guide & you'll be listening to your first CD in 15 minutes. If you need more details, load up the CD for tutorials with sound & video. I used it with Windows Media Player, but it should work with other software. Don't think it will work with iTunes, but that is a copyright restriction thing that I think other non-iPod mp3 players will have (I have virtually no knowledge of how the different services and music formats work.)
Loading Songs. I "ripped" a few CDs and synch'd it through the USB cable. The written instructions were simple to follow. Also downloaded a dozen songs for a pay-per-song site. Synching those were even easier.
This is my first MP3 player & I've used it for 2 days. However, I spent a few days researching every model (about 12) for less than $100. Most seem to lack a good screen or were confined to 500MB with no expansion. I could'nt find anything on the ILO (exclusively made for Wal-Mart). So took a chance & figured could alway return it to Wal-mart (very satisfied, so we'll keep it.)
I really don't have anything negative to say. I'll assume it will be durable (since ther's no moving parts). If you are hooked on the iPod & iTunes concept, then this might not be the player for you. I almost bought an iPod Shuffle, but glad I didn't. It lacks so much when compared to the ILO (half the memory, no screen, no FM radio or mike...).
These sell at Wal-mart for $80 plus tax. Online shipping is about $5. I picked mine up thru an ebay auction for $52 (sealed new, including shipping). I think you will have trouble finding a better overall value from Sandisk, Creative, iRiver, etc.
