Some problems, but got it (mostly) working.
Get it if you need it. Dell bungled the last two docking stations for the Precision and other series.
Several negative reviews, some from obvious corporate reviewers with multiple units. Be aware that you could get one with problems. I assume that later updates and FW updates have helped. Dell no longer lists the TB16 on their website for updates. I bought two used units, both claimed to be tested and working. Had problems with both. Seems that power quality could be an issue. One unit would not supply an evident 130w (Bios complained about insufficient power to the laptop), but at work, seems to work fine. I have yet to successfully get both Display ports working simultaneously. I run 1 DP off of the TB16 with HDMI directly off of the laptop. Can successfully drive two high res Samsung UE590 4K displays along with a 4K laptop(Dell 5520), but sometimes have to bring monitors up one at a time, especially after docking and undocking. Power sequencing both on startup and shutdown could also be an issue. Earlier reviews talk about the PowerShare USB 3.0 feature on the front port needing to be shut off.
The TB16 has the most ports(2 DP, 1HDMI, 1 VGA w/several USB 2.0/3.0), but keep in mind potential problems.

Expensive for what it is, more than RT cable. Did work after modding.
1 of 1 found this helpful Had to use cutter to trim tab for it to fit. I question if tested on 9 R Plus. I did succeed in programming using free software.
