Two for One AC Disconnect
This disconnect provides a 15 Amp GFCI Receptacle and T-Bar disconnect all in the same NEMA-3 outdoor housing. You still must run a separate 120VAC circuit to the box for the receptacle but the two circuits can share the same ground conductor as long as the heavier gauge wire is used. I wired it using #12 THWN for the receptacle and #10 THWN for the AC Disconnect circuit since it was a 3-Ton split system.
Only downside is that the T-Bar doesn't always fit snugly into its mating lugs and must be double-checked to ensure continuity. My new heat pump system that this disconnect feeds had a communications error between the furnace and the outdoor unit, once I pressed hard on the T-Bar and snapped it back into the lugs, the outdoor unit powered back up and the error went away.
Overall, this is a well-made device and I hightly recommend it for those who want the convenience of not having to buy another box to house the code-required GFCI Receptacle needed within 75 feet of the disconnect.
