Almost a great lens, but not as good as the majors!
1 of 5 found this helpful This Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 I purchased for my Nikon D810 is almost great. Well constructed, fast focus even in low light, fairly sharp at f/4 and above. Will never use it at f/2.8 since focus is soft compared to my Canon. I also have a Canon 70-200mm L f/2.8 II on a 5D Mark III and at f/2.8 the difference is significant. However at f/5.6 it is hard to tell the difference from the Canon. I shoot sports and the extra megapixels of the Nikon D810 makes up a little for the soft f/2.8.. I can crop much more and sacrifice the f number for the extra resolution I get with this lens and the Nikon D810. Not to heavy, and the price is almost half of the Canon. So, if you want this kind of versatility, you can't beat it for the price! I do recommend it, but don"t expect miracles at f/2.8.

A solid cooler.

Excellent Product but with Limited Utilization
Ad for this product should include that depending on the camera and lens combination you use with "this product", you may get severe vignette in the photos taken. I recommend reading about digiscoping in advance when using this product. If you want to capture the moment of a unique subject such as a rare bird, it will serve its purpose. You have to use very high ISO, low shutter speeds and zoom in on the eyepiece to eliminate the vignetting. This UCA adapter is solid and well built and will hold even a larger DSLR but you need the preferred lens to get close to the eyepiece to minimize the vignetting. It is a great camera adapter, high quality and one of the best! For my purpose, to get the higher quality phots to publish, I prefer to shoot with a 600mm lens of good quality and a very high mega pixel camera and crop the photo for publishing. I am very picky about my photo quality. So, read my comments only as one person's view point. I will use this adapter on a rare occasion.
