Paper Mate Non-Stop
Good quality pencils. A nice design feature is the lead springs back inside if you push to hard, which makes it very hard to break the lead unlike most other auto pencils.
Not refillable but you get a good 15cm of lead.
And its nice that they are still made in the USA.

Prunus Anjan A166 Radio
I'd never heard of Prunus but this little radio was cheap enough to buy with fairly low expectations of its performance.
AM reception is reasonable and abount what you would expect from a radio like this.
FM reception was a very nice surprise.
I could pick up all the expected stations. I could not pick up some FM stations from slightly further afield that I can on my old Roberts portable. I wonder if the DSP chip is programmed to ignore low strength signals as reception of an FM station is either very good, or not at all.
The tuning is a bit fiddly and its easy to go past the station you want but once you get used to it its OK..
The sound quality is good when using the small built in speaker, but the best feature of this radio in my opinion is the very crisp (but not harsh) sound it delivers through the headphone socket. It reminded me how nice to listen to FM could be when compared to the very dull sounding DAB we are all getting used to!
All in all a nice little radio and well worth the money.

Roberts Vintage DAB Radio
2 of 2 found this helpful I liked the look of the Roberts Vintage DAB radio but did not want to spend £100+ on one as I've bought a couple of supposedly 'good quality' DAB radios before and have been very disappointed with the reception.
So I bought a second hand one on ebay not really expecting too much...
The Roberts Vintage is actually a very good radio! It picks up stations my other radios did not and with no drop-outs or loss of signal.
The sound quality is perfectly ok but nothing special, and its not that loud at full volume (the speaker is only rated at one watt)
It feels well made and line-out and aux-in are really useful features. As is the ability to run it off rechargeable MIMH batteries.
All in all a very nice little DAB radio, I would not have been disappointed if I had bought a new one!
Its a shame these are no longer made in the UK!
