G LGB 1:24 Scale Pontiac GTO Vauxhall Holden Monaro HSV 22468 Diecast Model Car
13 February 2020
Perfect model of an unusual car - but the box could/should be vastly improved
Interesting model of the Australian designed and made Pontiac GTO for the US market 2004-2006, aka Holden Monaro (Vauxhall Monaro in the UK). Very well detailed including engine bay, interior with 2-tone seats and all the tiny badges. It clearly shows nicely the not insignificant differences compared to the original Holden for the home market. Perfect from a collector's point of view. Only thing letting it down slightly is the very uninspiring and generic box - which in my case was even a bit damaged on delivery. As much as I genuinely love the model car - the box really lets it down for display purposes. Apart from a little sticker on the window area of the box there's nothing related to the actual car itself. The model is also just screwed into the cardboard without a plinth.
Quartzo 1/43 Scale - 2013 Ford Thunderbird Hooters Alan Kulwicki Nascar
15 May 2016
super model car - even though 2013 is misleading...
...as Alan Kulwicki was the champion in 1992 with his Thunderbird (cheekily name changed to 'underbird' by him to underline his underdog status) - but never had a chance to become champion again due to having died in a non race related accident early in the 1993 season. Hooters - his sponsor - is obviously still going from strength to strength with the legandary - almost word famous *lol* - restaurants. The detail of this model car - incl. the all important graphics - is excellent. It arrived very well wrapped in its nice original display box and is now pride of my collection.
