Zoom Kinect Motion Sensor Adapter by Nyko for Xbox 360 - For Use In Small Rooms!
21 October 2020
Allows playing in smaller spaces - with a few caveats.
The Kinect was designed with a large room in mind - the type few people in apartments will have, even if they push furniture around. This is my case currently, and for that, Zoom by Nyko is a game-changer. With it, two people can dance in a space where they'd be flagged as out of camera all the times. Its documentation says it works better under the TV (contrary to Kinect's, which recommends above TV), but it had a harder time under mine. In both cases, manual tilting (by the software) is needed for it to recognize the floor. The downsides are that hand commands get much more erratic (its documentation recommends not pushing your hand fully forward, but games like MJ: The Experience will require that), and any filming (e.g.: Just Dance TV) will get distorted. You can see the distortion in any game that draws your silhouette on a background, such as JD4 when selecting your player - walk from color band to color band and see how you become curvy in the first/last). However, that beats not being able to play at all, so it's indeed a 4 out of 5!
Michael Jackson: The Experience (Microsoft Xbox 360, 2011) New Other Fast Ship
29 October 2020
Great dance game on the technical side (within Kinect's limitations)
It is a very particular dance game. Movement detection prizes accuracy much more than, say, Zumba Fitness or Just Dance (but not as much as Dance Central). Video lessons not feature MJ directly (looks like he passed away during production), but feature dancers that worked with him. But there is no shortage of MJ throughout the game. If you want something more challenging, but not beyond what the Kinect can reasonably judge (looking at you, Dance Central), this is a fun game, that can be picked up cheap if you already got an XBox 360/Kinect.
433MHz Wireless Water Leakage Sensor Leak Detector For Home Security Alarm
20 August 2019
Great value for money, just be careful with battery displacement.
These are a great value for the money: if you have a setup capable of receiving 433Mhz, they work as expected. The one thing that could be improved for a 5th star is the battery compartment: I found that a strong bump can move the battery out of place. In one occasion, the sensor was disabled (not desired) and in the other the battery drained out (maybe because it shorted). One can add some padding to alleviate, but I wish they had something that would not let the batteries come off so easily
