Higher AHr rating doesn't translate to longer run time!
1 of 1 found this helpful The battery arrived very quickly and well packed. I bought this battery because the 4 year old OEM battery was not providing a lot of run time. This battery advertised a much higher AHr rating and I assumed this would translate to longer run time.
Unfortunately it didn't, not because it ran out of charge, in fact it stops due to overheating and the red lights come on. Then it takes quite a long time to cool down at which point it will restart and work again. Note the V8 is running on normal power not MAX. I found that this new battery on MAX doesn't last very long at all, it is less then the old OEM battery!
Overall the run time on normal power is only marginally better then the original reduced run time of the 4 year old OEM Dyson battery. Further when it stops with overheating it won't charge until it has cooled down.

Genuine Anderson contacts
The genuine Anderson contacts (and the housing) are cheap insurance. The manufacturing dimension accuracy, silver coating, etc, are far superior to the Chinese knock-offs and using the correct terminal to match the cable increases reliability. The knock-off brand that came with my van wouldn't maintain connection because of poor moulding of the housing and little tension on the contacts. Changed to genuine Anderson all solved.
