Disappointed.
Not impressed. As a retired large animal veterinarian I wanted to find a book to give to a horse-crazy granddaughter that would be an introduction to equine medicine. I bought this book on-line as none of our local box-stores had the book. The photos were lacking in details and some of the most encountered conditions not included (ie. no ringbone). A better description of laminitis/founder with some explanatory pictures would be nice. The section on nasal discharges could have been more explanatory and had pictures demonstrating the different types of discharges with differential diagnoses (a condition that she was seeing in our own horses). The one picture that was available was difficult to appreciate the type of discharge. A description of "heaves" could have been expanded. The format was nice - short concise descriptions but the photos just could have been better and some of the description could have gone into more depth even if it was geared toward the layman.

New York New York, it was a hit!
Gave this to my sister and friend as they just had an opportunity to visit NYC this Fall . They immediately started working on the puzzle and completed it within two days. Both are seniors (60's and 70's) and although they said the street names on the base were difficult to read, the puzzle was still very doable. They finished the base the first day and the second layer the next morning, and the buildings that evening. They felt the puzzle was challenging but not impossible, and are very please with the final results. My sister normally does not do puzzles but quickly got caught up with this one and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They definitely would recommend this puzzle! My sister also liked the historical aspect.

Worth the money
The recipient of this gift of the Lego Harley motorcycle absolutely loved it. She immediately started working on the build and finished up about a day later. She thoroughly enjoyed it, was a great build with lots of interesting details.
