these connectors do NOT clamp effectively on the cable
These connectors snap in, so you don't need a crimp tool for making a coax cable. I should have bought a crimp tool instead.
These snap on the cable but even after going to the manufacturers website and looking carefully at the application documentation (strip 1/4" of insulation off the inner connector, then strip another 1/4" or so off the outer cable jacket to expose the braided shield, then fold the braided shield back over the cable insulation so the cable can form a tight fit with the connector), the connector does not hold at all to the cable. The connector slides right off the cable. My expectation was, even though it might not be as good as a connection made with a crimp tool, there's still be some force required to get the connector off... but none is required.
Maybe it would work better if I had wrapped some electrical tape around the braid to make an even tighter fit, but I didn't feel like experimenting. This product didn't perform as documented
