Great reference source
This Framing Roofs book is great info but if you are serious about any building project I would highly recommend "The Essentials of Framing" as your first reference source. Even if you are building a dog house, you need to understand why you use the wood you use, how many nails and which nails to use. I'm not a contractor and don't work for one so I read any reference material I can for the projects I do. $50 spent on several books is an investment versus a haphazard built shed or garage repair. Not all wood is created equal and a 12D coated sinker nail is not a 12D common nail. Learn the "how's" and "whys" before you built. A lot of designing and testing goes into building homes so it would be a shame not to learn from their knowledge and experience.
This book starts off where many books leave off, teaching you how to cut joists for roofs. If you don't know where and how to cut a bird's mouth then you probably shouldn't be framing a roof. But this book will show you how and help get your project started.

Great graffics. Good sci fi movie but certainly not believable.
0 of 1 found this helpful I don't see why there was so much hype about the movie. To be honest, if it wasn't for the advertisements, I would not have heard of the movie. I never heard anyone say "You gotta see that movie". No insult intended but I think it was all marketing hype.
A completely fictional story that will never happen and you can't even draw a direct similarity for anything on Earth. Maybe, if you stretch your imagination you can see a similarity of what happened to our native American Indians when the white men came. This is like combining Dances With Wolves and some Star Wars magic. With all the blood thirsty killing animals in that movie, I'm surprised there were any survivors. But the graffics were great. My Blue Ray disc never worked but I don't think I lost anything watching the widescreen disk. Aside from the entertainment quality, it demonstrates the ingenuity of the film industry. Why do all the current best sellers have man kind digressing to some war like state?
