It's alive!! Actually have only tested the 4-pin connection so far, which worked fine. Not anticipating any issues with the round connector.

Cute & cuddly, a (nearly) new replacement for the one that wore out.
The Weimar was my son's favorite toy since the age of 2, the one that comforted him at naptime and at night. Heaven forbid if "Puppy" was left at Daycare, Grandma's house, etc. He's almost 6 now, and Puppy had seen better days. Fur matted from repeated washings and being drooled on, one eye chewed off by the family pet. My son asked if Puppy could be fixed. I'm not an accomplished seamstress, and replacing the eyes would require one.
A search on EBay turned up several Weimars, and this (nearly) new one was priced right, and in great condition. Because of the time of year, a story was conjured that Puppy was sent to Santa for repair and cleaning, and Santa brought Puppy back. Life is good again in our house.

When completing initial set up, I strongly recommend you use a computer with a FAST connection, or you will be downloading software updates for hours.
One problem I noted was when trying to download the map upgrade (Full Coverage North America 2013.40) - my unit kept giving me an error after it hit 58% downloaded - it apparently reached the memory capacity, but it doesn't tell you.
However, I've used it since then around town here, and the Nuvi 2555 has considerable landmark information. This purchase was for my wife's vehicle, but after using it I'm considering getting one for my truck too. I just don't do as much driving to strange towns as she does for her tournaments.
