One Fine Album, Buy It Now

Centro-matic, What can i say but you really should purchase this cd. If you know of Centro-matic you should allready have this. If you don't know of them, you should still purchase this cd. Centro-matic are a phenomenal band from the very scenic town of Denton, TX. For that reason alone, you should purchase the cd as well. I could write a decriptive review of the music and the magic it contains but why should i. For christ sakes, just purchase the album and let the greatness of Centro-matic speak for themselves. If you want to read a review, amazon.con can provide you with a few fine folks who write really interesting, unbiased reviews of this fine band. And if Centro-matic plays nearby, go see them as they are some of the nicest guys and make music of depth you will be changed for the better for the rest of your life....

Excellent Remastering of a classic!

The Replacements first record, what's to say! If you love the band, all of their material is essential. That being said, it's a great album, clearly their rawest and most punk album. The 2008 Rhino remaster sounds the best with a noticible improvement in the low and mids and overall the remastering absoulutely surpassses the previous editions, of which I've owned multiple copies throughout the yrs. The addition of the addtional tracks is great, especially "If Only You Were Lonely." Clearly, this is worthly of hunting down and getting for the right price.

Simply Amazing

Richmond Fontaine's 2 or 3rd album is an amazing album. The songs are filled with character's whose lives have gone astray and who have fallen on hard times. The music is along the same lines as Uncle Tupelo or perhaps Son Volt, but the music is a bit more accessible, loose, and organic in structure. The pedal steel that the band incorporated on this album is beautiful yet used sparingly, which is nice. The production is awesome as well. Pick up this gem of an album.
