Brought new life to a slow, old laptop.
Definitely the best upgrade available for my old Compaq Presario laptop. While this isn't the latest, fastest, superest processor with rainbow sparkles made from sustainably harvested naturally shed certified organic unicorn horns, it is priced appropriately and functions for my application. Many newer processors may phisically fit, however, they may also not function with my motherboard. Installation took a while due to the construction of the laptop but researching to find the correct compatible processor took longer due to the generic repair manual provided by the manufacturer but that has nothing to do with this product. Make sure you apply some new heat sink paste every time you change out a processor! Totally jazzed with the improved speed of this processor over the original Celeron processor.
