Arlington - Low Profile InBox for Retofit Siding - White - DBHR171W

Nice boxes - Took a little bit to install (overkill on my part)
What I have is called Double Dutch Vinyl Siding. If you had Dutch Wood siding I'd think it be really quick to install. Mine took some time to get in since the vinyl isn't a solid surface. Since my siding has spaces between the wall and the siding I had to fill it in. I cut out the rectangle holes thru the siding and wall (used a Rotorazor saw to cut most of it and a hand jig saw to square the corners. For the spaces in between the siding and wall I cut strips of wood as thick as the space to use as spacers and glued then under the siding. This gave me a solid surface on the top and bottom. I also went a bit overboard and cut a piece of thick plywood, cut the matching rectangle hole and put this on the other side of the wall. This gave me a really strong backer to screw into. So from the outside the screws went through the plastic boxes, thru the siding, through the spacers, thru the wall and into the plywood. Looks great and very solid.
