Ultimate Collection for fans of original M. Orchestra

This box includes a bonus disc of previously unreleased performances from the same gig that the From Nothingness To Eternity tracks were drawn from. This material is not available anywhere else. The only downside is the fact that CDs are packaged in cardboard sleeves and are thus, easily scratched. Buy some Japanese inner sleeves and you're all set!

My favorite mastering of one of a desert-island record

Lacking an SACD player, I can only comment on the redbook layer. I've found MoFi's hybrid SACD's to be very inconsistent in terms of sound quality but to my ears, on my system, this one sounds great. For one thing, guitar parts I was never aware of are now clearly audible. I prefer this to both the generic release and the older Steve Hoffman remaster.

Live tracks stand out

I was introduced to Black Pumas via the live Rockpalast show available on Youtube and when I heard the studio tracks on this disc, they sounded somewhat bland by comparison. Not bad, just not as impactful. I hope the band will release a live disc at some point.
