Correct Part that works backwards
This is the only sending unit that mercury outboard has for this application, It is suppose to be universal to fit on either side of the engine lift system. Well it fit and was installed per the instruction sheet provided by Mercury Marine, No matter how I mounted the sender it read backwards on the gauge (down was up/up was down). Put in a new OEM gauge on the dash and no change. Took it to a Mercury outboard dealer they couldn't find any problems with the install and had no answers why it worked backwards.

If you want to use these outside forget it. Put them on windows and flat sheet metal with in 5 weeks they were peeling off and looked like po-po.
