Dayton SA25 25 watt self contained Sub woofer Amplifier module
10 June 2020
Affordable Power for Sub woofer projects or a great replacement amp
I referenced many reviews about this amplifier before I pulled the trigger to buy. I now agree with the majority of reviews that commented about this being more powerful than the stated wattage. This has a Peak far higher than expected for the price and stated info. Rather than my feelings about this, I will just tell you what it does for me: *Adds tight, realistic Bass response to my AR18's connected to a Pioneer SX 312R with CD and laptop input. *Fills a 12' x 12' room with the right amount of Bass.....enough so that only 40% of the volume of the sub woofer is the maximum needed for most of the Music I play (Blues, Classic Rock, Funky Jazz/Blues, Acoustical Genres-various). * Needs to be powered on each use, but for this price I wasn't expecting many perks. I understand that would be nice to have, but NOT a deal breaker. Again, price is the key. *Was easy to install as a replacement for what was an MK Sound 100 watt sub woofer with a very strong 8" Sub.I cannot find much difference in frequency responses and power (wattages) only may have to be increased just slightly more than prior/original amp.......again, NOT a deal breaker! *I have more money left to buy more music!
