Heavy metal mayhem at it's finest!
The quality of the book (paper and binding) exudes quality - big glossy heavy-gauge pages - and then ther is the artwork! Grim, gritty, detailed - a real showstopper! And then of course you have the story itself - won't give anything a way but if you're a fan and haven't got this stop what you are doing and buy it. Now. You will not be disappointed!

1 of 1 found this helpful Very much based on one of HP Lovecraft's star-spawn (or possibly mighty Cthulhu himself) the miniature is huge and finely detailed. It mostly fits together well (I did find that there were a few issues with the tentacles) and I actually ended up placing them into a slightly more dynamic arrangement after a bit of work with some green stuff modelling putty. I found it better to assemble the main parts and paint them before fitting them all together then doing a general touch up. This is the biggest miniature I have ever painted and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. In terms of gameplay this thing is absolutely brutal and will destroy even relatively experienced groups of heroes so all I can say is prepare to die! A lot. It really does bring together everything that is great about the Shadows of Brimstone theme and lovers of cosmic horror (you know who you are!) will appreciate all the work Flying Frog have done to create this mini masterpiece. Cthulhu may be dead but dreaming but this fella is ready for action! If you are a fan of SOB buy it. If you want an extreme challenge for the game buy it. Oh what the hell, just buy it!

Fantastic book full of lore and great artwork. Games Workshop have excelled with this Codex. Love the way that Deathwatch draws from all of the Chapter Houses so you can create a unique blend of marines and of course they have access to some of the best weapons and gear in the Imperium. The Corvus Blackstar is just a plain badass! Buy it, you won't be disappointed (unless your'e dead inside)!
