AWESOME!!!
5 of 5 found this helpful This is the best sound quality headunit on the market short of the 99prs. I'm running mine in network mode and the active crossover adjustments, eq, and time alignment features on this unit are unmatched by any other deck. to get the same features and adjustments you pretty much have to buy a source unit and external DSP module which usually runs close to a grand. I wish this unit supported FLAC files, and the face plate is very tricky to remove without damaging the clip in the top right corner that holds the face to the unit, I broke the face the first time i removed it to reset the unit and switch from standard to network mode.

garbage!!!
3 of 4 found this helpful I bought 2 of these units one for my car and one for a friends car, i installed mine in a honda accord to work with a pioneer deh-80prs headunit. I set the dial to 7 for pioneer and hit the program button 3 times for honda as stated in the directions, the unit blinked 3 times confirming programing is complete and ready for use. the unit did not work. i opened the other module and switched it out to see if the first was faulty. after programing the second module automatically started increasing volume without touching the steering wheel controls. I contacted PAC customer support over a week ago and still have not heard anything back. It's a very simple 4 wire installation in my vehicle and i've been an MECP (mobile electronics certified professional) installer since 2003, i double, triple, and quadruple checked my wiring and it is correct. I don't know if PAC has their products made in china with no testing or quality control or what, but they don't respond to customer support and try to resolve the situation so they get a huge FAIL in my book. I've installed pretty much the same product made by Metra 100 times a year and never had a single issue. Spend the extra $15-20 for the metra steering wheel control module and save your self the headache and time!

Good SPL amp, comparable to top brands on power, taking the lead on price.
5 of 6 found this helpful As a certified professional audio installer, I would recommend this amp to anyone building an SPL setup on a budget. This amplifier is a little over rated at 5500w, more like 3500w but comparing to other brands who manufacture TRUE 3500w amps, the BAMF delivers the power in a fairly clean manner at a fraction of the price of the big brands. This amplifier is also capable of syncing to another bamf5500 to double the power by converting the master amp into the positive pole and the slave amp into the negative pole. This amplifier is not for the average consumer, This amp is more for competition use due to the incredible amount of current drawn, at least 1 spare battery should be used with this amplifier along with 0 gauge wiring in order to provide the amount of current flow to power this unit to it's full potential.
