RIGHT brake control on Polaris

Love my 2010 Sportsman Polaris, but why is the brakes handle on the LEFT?? That's where the clutch is supposed to be, well, for me anyhow. Was reluctant at first on a $30.00 control but was really pleased when I received it. It fit the handlebars and cleared the throttle assembly for operation. Also has a emergency brake set link and a stop lamp switch. So far so good, was easy to bleed and has a sight glass.
