8 Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets HE Washer Cleaner W10549846
28 July 2016
Easy-To-Use Solution
Our Frigidaire front-loading washer developed a strong musty odor despite our making sure to leave the door and detergent drawer open after each wash day. I removed the drawer and cleaned off all the surprising, hidden black mold with a brush and bleach - a chore I'll never forget to do again. But, nevertheless, the washer still reeked of mold the next day. So, I put 1/2 cup of bleach into the detergent drawer and did one normal hot wash cycle. Even THAT didn't eliminate the musty odor!! After researching the problem online I settled on Affresh as the solution, and found my best deal here on eBay. All we had to do was to put the Affresh tablet directly into the drum and do a normal hot wash cycle. A couple days later I noticed an ever-so-slight musty odor still remaining, so I put the washer through one more hot normal cleaning cycle with an Affresh tablet. Now, the washer is totally free of any odor of mold or mildew! Apparently our machine had gotten so bad that two cycles were needed to eliminate the problem. So, my plan now is to use Affresh every 3 or 4 months to prevent the mold and mildew from ever returning. Since we do mostly cold water washes I believe our machine is more prone to this problem. Another bonus from using Affresh is that the machine internals should now be free of built-up laundry residue from detergents and softeners, which I've heard could lengthen the machine's useful life.

4 Euro 26mm 1" Concealed Inset Self Closing Hinges glacier bay medicine cabinets

Don't Come Unhinged!
NOTE: eBay’s computers reject every review I post if I include photos. How dumb is that!! I have 20 year old triple-mirror medicine cabinet which was purchased from the major big-box hardware & lumber store. These are the EXACT replacement hinges for my cabinet. I am just now buying a 2nd set because I used up the first already. They function perfectly, which means they are self-closing and quiet. Now I'm buying a spare set so I'm ready when more begin to fail, as 20 years seems to be their expected lifespan. I highly recommend these hinges. It's a lot cheaper than replacing the whole cabinet!!

Aurifil Cotton Mako Thread 50 Weight 1422 Yards Black

It's Not The Cheapest - Thankfully!
Have you ever noticed that there's a constant race to the bottom where pricing is concerned? I'm a careful shopper, like anybody who isn't wealthy with money to burn. I'm not a young man anymore. I dare say I've gained at least a modicum of wisdom as a shopper/consumer in my life. eBay's search pages are loaded with low-price, made-in-Asia cotton threads. They look great. The colors look beautiful. The amount you get for amazingly low prices is sooooooooo tempting!! I know because I got suckered in and bought those for my wife back when she started getting really serious about sewing after we'd retired. She was very excited to have so much thread in so many yummy colors. She said she felt like a kid in a candy shop - until the problems arose, that is. Problems like loads of thread "dust" building up inside the bobbin area, which caused jamming issues. Then there were all sorts of tension problems and, worst of all, thread breaking when you least expected. That often caused real visual problems with her projects. It wasn't long before my wife told me to NEVER, EVER buy that junk thread again!! I obeyed. That's when I started looking at somewhat more costly thread, and finally discovered Aurifil thread on the more economical 1,422 yard spools. In the 5 years, or so, since then, Aurifil is the only cotton thread my wife uses. All the aforementioned problems encountered with the cheap threads has virtually evaporated away. I won't lie. There is no brand of thread in the entire world that performs with total perfection all of the time. For that matter, no brand of any product is always perfect. But, where thread is concerned, AurifiI comes as close as possible to that lofty goal, in my humble opinion. I highly recommend Made-In-Italy Aurifil cotton thread with total confidence!
