Ecstatic Poetry
God as 'the Beloved' makes these ecstatic poems sensuous, intoxicating. We burn, we yearn, we cry for the relationship with the Beloved. This is no orthodox relationship........it is the agony of love...for the Divine.

mediation lovers
2 of 2 found this helpful We have all the tools we need to achieve enlightenment within us, like our own beating heart. Life is so fast paced, who takes the time to listen to their own heart? and what happens if/when we do?
Easy to read and understand. Lists common pitfalls/obstacles for new meditators...filled with esoteric tidbits...For all meditators including experienced practitioners like myself, the elemental breaths and reminder of the love or the 'why' of why I practice meditation. A book I will be working with for a long while...

2 of 2 found this helpful This book is for anyone who is unflinching and unafraid to visit the dark corners of the journey which is grief. Not a book to necessarily comfort or uplift the bereaved...don't buy it for anyone else but yourself...but certainly a validation of a journey rarely depicted with such frankness. Anyone who has grieved deeply will see themselves in it....It is often suggested that writing can help one through bereavement and Joan Didion is a writer.....and her description of grief is so personal and painful...anyone grieving will see themselves if they dare
