Is NOT completely soluble in denatured alcohol
Received the package in very good condition. Went to Home Depot to buy one gallon of denatured alcohol. Mixed to a ratio of one part dye powder to 1.5 parts alcohol. Initially, all the powder stayed in suspension. But after about 1/2 hour the powder started settling down to the bottom of the plastic container. So I had to keep mixing the liquid to keep the dye powder in suspension. But once I got the method down, it dyed the wood a dead flat black - which is what I wanted. Overall, because it did not completely disolve in the alcohol - like aniline dye should, I would not recommend this product unless the person is willing to do the extra work as I did.
