Customising for an Intermediate Knitter
While the book does a great job of explaining different body types and what modifications would be needed to get a good fit for those body types, sometimes the details were a little bit lacking. If you are wanting to take an existing pattern and change out details like sleeve and body length, the style of trim, the type of closure, or the neckline shape, this publication does give guidance in that area, but sometimes you need more in-depth directions in order to fully appreciate what you're doing, how to do it, and also why you might be doing it in a particular way.
On the plus side, the helpful ideas on attaching sleeves, creating collars, borders, and so many more fun creative ideas to add, was helpful.

The Fever of The Bone by Val McDermid
I really like the Tony Hill - Carol Jordan partnership in the Val McDermid books and the continued development of their working partnership and personal relationship in this book is interesting. But if you're expecting graphic violence, then you'll be disappointed in this book.
Tony doesn't get into the head of this killer - there are other things going on in Tony's life this time round, and Carol has a new boss who doesn't warm to the use of non-departmental profilers - and the story follows more of a police procedural tack rather than a pyschological tack, but on the whole this is a good and well worked thriller whose twists are teased out expertly, and it is still a great read, all the same.
Highly recommended.

Lightweight Product But No Longer the Same as the Original Lotion
I have bought this moisturiser a couple of times previously when it was made without the added SPF15. The consistency was originally a lovely lightweight gel-cream, was absorbed easily into my skin, it smelt lovely and my skin loved it. When I received this product I didn't realise it had SPF15 added to it and it has altered the consistency completely. It is no longer gel-like, it's much whiter in colour and it is not absorbed nearly as well into my skin. I really believe the original product was far superior and I won't be buying this again. However, if you prefer a less gel-cream type product and something that is weirdly creamy-chalky, then perhaps you'll like this moisturiser. Unfortunately, the addition of the SPF15 has ruined this as a moisturiser for me, and my skin absolutely hates it!
