Deck Building + Worker Placement
This game is a great combination of deck building and worker placement mechanics. We were familiar with deck builders and Dune: Imperium was a fun transition to the world of worker placement games. The design looks great too! On the negative side, the game is a little longer than we were used to (first play-through took about 2 hours or so). Also, it looks super intimidating when you first set it up and read through the rules. But once you get the hang of it, it flows nicely and was a whole lot of fun! If you like Dune, deck builders, worker placement games, or some combination of all 3 of the above, this one is for you!
