Stiletto, very sharp! like its name, cuts through mix like a knife thru butter .
Love this bass . have been using Fenders , NS Design, and other expensive Custom made basses for over 30 years . been wanting a neck through for a long time . why I waited so long I can't say, but now that I have this Schecter Diamond Stiletto Studio, I understand why certain techniques were difficult for me on other instruments . radius has a lot to do with it . this bass has a 12" radius, very flat and lends itself well to across the fingerboard consistency and low (non-rattle) action . If you've ever wondered why slapping was sometimes difficult on your fender or other curved radius fingerboards. try one of these Scheters! I'm blown away with neck feel, electronic tone, and balanced weight of instrument, etc . . . and of course, it's a beauty to look at . btw, I own over 30 basses, this Schecter is now my main "go to" for solid body fretted playing . love it!

Link Fire with Fire
Didn't even realize my laptop had a firewire connection because it was older and very tiny . need to interface a state of the art digital mixer to my laptop, and this was the answer to my dilemma . don't know how it works, but it works perfectly . a very solid adapter . built well and connects tight! . what more could you ask for! ?

Big Diff from Something Little!
I have this expensive custom made exotic wood Jazz Bass neck, no matter how I tried to set it up, I couldn't get it right . strings buzzed and rattled, action was fluky . then I read an article about the Tusq nut and how it could improve playability . skeptical, I said what the heck, wasn't expensive . . . And I cannot believe that installing this nut, nearly solved all the problems I'd been having for months setting the bass up . It was like finally getting the right engine mounts for your car, when the engine had been bouncy around and never stable . The Black Tusq nut, pulled everything together, lower and more relaxed action, with no rattles or string buzzes. I'll be putting Black Tusq nuts on all my "go to ' gig basses . It's a winner!
