Makes a pot the proper way

An interesting brewing machine that works in a simple yet euro-elegant way. Takes a bit ore work and if you're going to spend this much you probably should resign yourself to grinding beans immediately beforehand, and all that process, otherwise a plain old drip machine would be better. I has to confirm it did what was promised so I put a digital thermometer probe in the basket as the water came out and it IS in the proper temp range, and brews a full tank in the right time 6-7 minutes. If you have the correct water/grounds ratio, be prepared for a much darker and flavorful cup!

Perfectly adequate for the price

Remote has all of the basic functions of the original minus the elaborate keyboard on the back (which I never used once in 9 years). The finish is ok - the edge of the plastic cover could use some polishing - a bit sharp to the touch. All in all, its just a replacement for an old TV so its fine for what I expected and would buy again if necessary.

I use it to heat our birdbath

works as expected - gets very hot pretty fast (3-4 minutes). We plug it in on mornings when the birdbath freezes over so all the wildlife can still drink. Unplug it after about 20-30 min. depending on level of ice. Be careful not to rest it on bottom or it will melt plastic.
