Still not outdated!!!
Even though the book is writen back in 1981. There is still alot of valid and good ideas to save gasoline. The price of gas should not be the only motivation to cut our use, but also the enviroment. I have studied this for years, and there were still ideas that I had never considered before. This book even has very good points to consider when purchasing a new car, even Hybrids. I would recommend this to ANYONE that drives, most definite. I will save an easy 10 times the price that I have paid for this book. This was also one of the few books that I have found so well written that was I started, I just couldn't lay it down until I was finished reading it. I think you will find it the same way as I did.

2 of 2 found this helpful I have used this exact same brand and type for over 10 years at a high volume tire store. I have experienced very low failure rate out of approximately thousands. Yes, these cost more than the cheap China made, but it is well worth the extra savings in the long run. In an Emergency pinch I even triple plugged a shoulder cut to get me home and save a very costly towing bill. Simply Amazing these are!

Good product, no RV repair library complete without these!
I originally bought these to help in repairing my travel trailer. They might be out dated when it comes to appliances and water lines that are used today. However, they cover the basics and have some really good tips for repairs that are still the same since the beginning of RV'ing.
