FiTech 30003 Go Street 400 HP EFI Throttle Body Fuel Injection Converter Kit
06 May 2021
Great System - don't believe the haters.
Really cool unit. You will see a heap of reviews for FiTech around the 'net from terrible to magnificent. Once you drill a little deeper, a lot of problems stem from operator error - fuel or wiring issues, base issues with the motor, set up misunderstandings etc. That is not to say ALL problems are the installer - for sure there are some warranty claims on faulty parts, (temp sender needs better brand) and the customer support seems to be somewhat hit and miss... BUT.. I have had one now on a car I drive nearly daily, tow trailers, tour interstate etc. for two years. Zero problems. I stress that my goals were not straight line performance but were drivability, reliability, easy starting and consistent tune. Fuel economy would be nice too although really you should buy a Yaris if that is your bottom line. The installation hurdles in order of importance were; -fuel delivery - this is the big one, and doing without the surge tank style FiTech units, you are on your own. Either mod a OEM in tank unit if your skills are there, or use an inline external Bosch type for easier but noisier solution. Some popular cars have a ready made fuel tank with EFI pump cutouts already there. Plus you get a new tank = $$$ -Wiring. The bane of old cars and with EFI, even more important. Pay attention to the diagrams and FiTech forums with regard to voltage checks, wiring continuity etc. Can be a bit confusing as to which ignition system you use. My install actually helped me track down a gremlin in the ignition circuit that the Tach signal showed up.. -Tuning. There is definitely some trial and error but mine started out of the box as promised. Some tweaking and resetting was in order, but no real rocket-science. I mean we do these things as an education, so if you are not willing to suffer some sort of learning curve, probably should out-source the work or stay with a carry. Once installed and running, the car has really only got better. It starts first time off the key without pumping, idles in all temps, and runs on the hwy well. Fuel economy is spot on factory specs when new, but there is room for improvement with tweaking the fuel curves and leaning cruise under certain conditions. It is American after all, and designed to propel V8s down the drag strip.. Don't believe the naysayers - the system is brilliant, and if you really do happen to get a factory dud - FiTech will honour it in the end.
CAMRY SXV20 COROLLA AE102 112 FRONT BRAKE PADS ** TOYOTA GENUINE PARTS **

Toyota genuine parts at a fair price
I'm not sure why anyone would cheap out with brakes. The Toyota that these went on has done 450k and runs perfectly, a lot of keeping the inherent reliability of these cars is using genuine or OEM parts. They look pricier when you stack them up on a comparison list but really, it's only peanuts and I've seen some really shoddy el-cheapo parts. With critical areas like brakes, suspension, steering etc, it's a no brainer.
BAHCO SL25 25pce METRIC 1/4” MINI SOCKET SET
21 December 2022
Used one of these for maybe 15 years - now made in China
This was my toolbox go-to set for small size sockets/driver bits until it was stolen recently along with my car.. Sad to see the new one arrived "Made in China". No Swedish engineers were harmed in the making of this set... last Bahco stuff I am buying. For $60, you are buying that name. May as well just grab a generic set, it will be similar quality. Chinese is fine, but $20 will get you the steel..
