"An Unnecessary Woman" - a necessary novel to add to your reading list.
This is an excellent novel by Rabih Alameddine. It is the perfect novel for people who love books, for it is filled with literary allusions. I discovered many new authors by reading "An Unnecessary Woman". This novel captures what it means to be growing old alone. The protagonist is a woman who lives in Beirut, Lebanon, and who witnesses the civil war and invasions of the country. I highly recommend it.
