Mixed emotions
I want to do justice to this little gadget.
The Good: I've tested this on brass tube (old rabbit ears antenna material) and it works beautifully. The vee block design holds the tube nicely square to keep the cuts true. It looks to be fairly decent quality.
The Bad: It's plastic. Apart from the obvious components, such as, screw, cutting wheel, spring etc., it's plastic. The vee block looks like nylon, while the body looks like a good quality plastic (ABS maybe?). The nylon vee block is threaded; there is no metal insert. Will this be a point of failure some time in the future? With light tube only being used on this, it's hard to tell.
Final thoughts: For what I paid for it. It is actually good value. While being plastic the build tolerances are quite good. What I love about it, is it actually does what it's supposed to (unlike a metal bodied cutter I got from Wish where the tolerances were so bad you could drive a truck through it). Regarding the nylon thread, there is quite a bit of meat there that provides plenty of engagement. If it does eventually fail, it won't be too difficult to put in a threaded brass insert.
Knowing all this, would I still buy it? Yes. Yes I would.

Decent quality, but poor fitting tip.

Overall, the quality of both the syringe and tube are fit for its intended purpose. However, the fit between the string tip and the green tube fitting is poor. Either the syringe tip is too small or the tube fitting is too large.
I aim to fix this by cutting a small amount off the green tube fitting to allow the syringe tip to go deeper into the tube fitting and therefore creating a better seal.

Great lighting at a great price
Purchased for a bedside light, these LED globes put out a good amount of light, yet they are not overpowering. The build quality looks very good. While they are made in China, they do not exhibit the very poor quality that you would expect from some Chinese products.
